10 items you cannot bring along with you on your trip to the UK

UK border authorities prohibit or restrict some goods to protect public safety, human health, animals and the environment, and violations may lead to confiscation, fines or prosecution. The items covered include controlled drugs, prohibited knives and weapons, pepper spray and CS gas. Travellers arriving from Nigeria and other countries outside permitted categories generally cannot bring meat or meat products into Great Britain, even if cooked, dried, smoked or packaged. The UK government advises travellers to check the relevant rules before departure, including requirements for prescription medicines and food.
