11 Civilians Killed in Attack Attributed to CODECO in Djugu

Eleven civilians, mainly women and the elderly, were killed in an attack in Maze village, Djugu, Ituri province, on October 9. Armed men presumed to be members of CODECO entered the village around 3 a.m., reigniting fears after months of relative security. The ENTE organization condemned the violence, called for stronger government action against armed groups, and civilians sought refuge near MONUSCO's base in Drodro to escape potential further attacks.
