1,400 Yemenis flee to Djibouti within 24 hours

About 1,400 people have fled Yemen to Djibouti in a 24-hour period, according to Djibouti's economy and finance minister, Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh. Among them, 500 refugees, including women and children, were rescued at sea after their boats ran out of fuel while crossing the Bab-el-Mandeb strait. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) warned that 46,000 people have been displaced in Yemen due to escalating fighting.
