16-year-old in police custody over killing of 20-year-old

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by the police in Cross River State for allegedly stabbing to death a 20-year-old man, Uwem Daniel Akpan, following a misunderstanding. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Peters Street, Awi, in the Akamkpa Local Government Area. Akpan was rushed to the Navy Reference Hospital in Calabar, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting detectives with the investigation.
