17 Killed, 7 Injured in Multiple Car Collision Along Nairobi-Mombasa Highway

At least 17 people died instantly in a multi-vehicle crash at Salama in Makueni County along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway. The accident occurred shortly after midnight when a lorry lost control due to brake failure and collided with several vehicles, including a 14-seater matatu carrying passengers heading to Subukia Shrine in Nakuru. Seven victims were rushed to Sultan Hamud Sub-County Hospital, and authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
