Atanga Nji’s Book: “Respect the Republic!” Journalist Paul Mahel Outraged

In a communiqué dated November 2, 2026, the governor of the Adamawa Region announced that Minister Paul Atanga Nji’s book, “Understanding the Meaning of My Ongoing Fight for Respect for Republican Legality,” was available from his office for 10,000 CFA francs. Journalist Paul Mahel criticized the use of the governor’s office, staff and official communication channels to sell and promote the book. He argued that the practice undermines the neutrality of public services and diverts taxpayer-funded resources from their public-interest duties.
