2026 Ballon d’Or: Mbappé Came Close to Victory, Vincent Garcia Reveals

Kylian Mbappé finished second in the 2026 Ballon d’Or, behind Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane, with Lamine Yamal in third place. France Football editor-in-chief Vincent Garcia said Mbappé led the vote for much of the voting period before Kane came back to win by a very small margin. Garcia also said he voted for someone who did not win, but would not disclose his choice before the magazine is published on Saturday.
