2026 Ballon d’Or: Too close to call

The 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held on October 26, 2026, at the London Palladium, moving from Paris for the first time. Specialist journalists will decide the winner, with several contenders making the race unusually close. Harry Kane is described as the favourite after scoring 61 goals for Bayern Munich, winning a domestic treble and scoring six times at the World Cup, where England finished third. Kylian Mbappé is also a contender after scoring 38 goals before the tournament and 10 at the World Cup, becoming the competition’s all-time leading scorer.
