2026 Ballon d’Or: Voters reveal two top contenders for the award

Journalists from 100 countries voted for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, but their agreement with France Football bars them from revealing their choices. Héctor González of Cadena SER said that, based on off-the-record conversations with several voters, Harry Kane is well ahead and the contest appears to be between Kane and Lamine Yamal. Kylian Mbappé is reportedly out of contention because he won no titles with Real Madrid or the France national team during the period under review.
