A jury of journalists from the top 100 FIFA-ranked countries voted for the men's award, with frontrunners including Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé, and Rodri. For the women's award, 50 journalists from the top 50 FIFA-ranked nations voted, with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Alexia Putellas as favorites. The event will be held in London on October 26, in what is expected to be one of the closest results in the award's history.
