2026 Hajj: First batch of Lagos pilgrims proceeds to Makkah

The first batch of Lagos State pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj has departed Madinah for Makkah after spending four days in prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque. A total of 343 intending pilgrims, comprising 169 males and 174 females, have safely arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport. Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, assured that adequate welfare arrangements have been made for the pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
