2026 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Navi Pillay

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize to South African jurist Navanethem “Navi” Pillay for her work promoting peace and international law. She has played a key role in ensuring the prosecution of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, serving on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the International Criminal Court, and as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
