2026 UTME: JAMB withholds scores, sets 320 for underage candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced that results of underage candidates are being withheld in accordance with existing regulations. Only candidates who are at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible to sit for the UTME. Underage candidates must score a minimum of 320 and at least 80% in subsequent assessments to be considered for admission.

2.2m candidates set for UTME 2026

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced that over 2.2 million candidates will participate in the UTME 2026, scheduled from April 16 to 22 across 966 accredited Computer-Based Test centres. JAMB has delisted 23 centres due to poor performance during the mock exam and implemented enhanced security measures to prevent malpractice.
