2026 World Cup: Ghana releases $6.5 million to support the Black Stars

The Ghanaian government announced on Saturday, June 13, the release of 76 million cedis ($6.5 million) to fund the Black Stars' participation in the 2026 World Cup. The package includes a $5 million advance for preparation and operational costs, and $1.488 million to settle outstanding qualification bonuses. Ghana, which qualified after eight wins in ten matches, will face Panama on June 18, followed by England and Croatia in Group L.
