2027: ADC dares Tinubu and APC to face Atiku in a free election after Sokoto and Kebbi rallies

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) called on President Bola Tinubu and the ruling APC to ensure a free and fair election in 2027. ADC presidential campaign director-general Senator Austin Akobundu reacted to the reception given to candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, at rallies in Sokoto and Kebbi. He accused the government of using a backdoor court process to keep the ADC out of the race and said voters must be able to choose without intimidation or obstruction. Akobundu urged party supporters to continue campaigning peacefully.
