2027 AFCON qualifiers: Guinea without Serhou Guirassy for matchdays 3 and 4

Serhou Guirassy will miss Guinea’s two matches against Eritrea in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after a thigh injury confirmed on November 5, with his absence expected to last four to six weeks. The Borussia Dortmund striker scored the only goal in Guinea’s 1-0 win over Kenya during the previous international window. Paulo Duarte called up Ousmane Condé to replace Guirassy; defender Saidou Sow and goalkeeper Soumaila Sylla are also unavailable, with Sékou Salifou Sylla called up in place of the goalkeeper. Guinea needs strong results against Eritrea to remain in contention for the group’s remaining qualification spot, and will have Amadou Diawara and Mouctar Diakhaby back.
