2027: Atiku’s aide hits back at Keyamo over exclusion from ballot

Paul Ibe, aide to former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar, criticised Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo after Keyamo said the heavens would not fall if Atiku were excluded from the 2027 presidential ballot. Ibe warned that excluding a major challenger would weaken public confidence in elections and said voters should be able to choose between Atiku and President Bola Tinubu. He said Atiku’s supporters would turn their support into votes in the election scheduled for January 16, 2027, and defend their right to choose through lawful means. Ibe also cited an Igbo proverb to warn the ruling APC that a party that ignores voters must face their response at the polls.
