2027 election: INEC Chair, Amupitan seeks improved funding, staff welfare from RMAFC

The INEC Chairman, Prof Joash Amupitan, appealed to RMAFC for increased and consistent funding to strengthen the Commission’s operations ahead of the 2027 general elections. He stressed the need for improved staff welfare and infrastructure investment, noting that governorship elections cost more than presidential and legislative polls combined. The RMAFC Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, pledged support for credible elections.
