2027: Falana, Obe demand strict adherence to electoral rules

Lawyers Femi Falana and Ayo Obe warned that the 2027 general elections may not be credible if flaws from previous elections continue. Speaking at the 25th Mike Okonkwo Annual Lecture in Lagos, they emphasized the importance of strict adherence to electoral laws by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the protection of voters from intimidation. Falana expressed concerns over threats directed at political opponents and called for legal actions against those undermining democracy.
