2027 Hajj: Lagos demands more slots

The Lagos State Government has requested the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to increase its allocation of pilgrimage slots for the 2027 Hajj due to the rising number of residents wishing to participate. Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode, stated that the 1,224 slots allocated were inadequate and called for at least 2,500 slots. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the services provided to Nigerian pilgrims, particularly the conditions of tents at Arafat and the services of Flynas Airline.
