2027: ‘Heaven will not fall if Atiku is not on the ballot,’ Keyamo says

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, said heaven would not fall if Atiku Abubakar were absent from the 2027 presidential ballot. His remarks followed an Abuja Federal High Court ruling that nullified the David Mark-led ADC leadership and voided Atiku’s nomination as the party’s candidate. Justice Peter Lifu issued the ruling on Thursday after a challenge by Nafiu Bala, a former ADC deputy national chairman. Keyamo defended the judgment and recalled that the APC accepted a 2019 Supreme Court ruling that cancelled its candidates’ victories in Zamfara and awarded them to the PDP.
