2027: I Won’t Step Down for ADC, Kwankwaso Declares

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate, ruled out withdrawing from the 2027 presidential race in favour of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or any other party. He rejected claims that his ticket with Peter Obi was acting for the ruling APC and said the ADC offered no better alternative to the current government. Kwankwaso described the NDC as a credible opposition force capable of uniting the country and tackling challenges including insecurity, education and the economy.
