2027: ‘I’m better than Tinubu and Atiku,’ Peter Obi says

Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, said at a town hall meeting in Owerri, Imo State, on Saturday that he was more competent and better suited to lead Nigeria than President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. He cited his record as governor of Anambra State, claiming he managed its finances without borrowing and left billions in the coffers. Obi accused Tinubu of failing to deliver on the Renewed Hope agenda and said Atiku represented an old order rejected by Nigerians. His remarks drew mixed reactions on social media, with critics accusing him of boasting and supporters backing his candidacy.
