2027: Is Atiku still running? Lere questions the ADC campaign

Lere Olayinka, special assistant to the FCT minister for public communications and social media, questioned the African Democratic Congress’s visibility and readiness for the 2027 presidential election, asking whether Atiku Abubakar was still running. Speaking on AIT, he said the concern went beyond formally launching a campaign and pointed to a lack of public presence and mobilisation. Olayinka contrasted this with Nyesom Wike’s recent visits to communities in the FCT and Rivers State and the Rainbow Coalition’s efforts to support Bola Tinubu. He also cited multiparty campaign councils established in Osun and Anambra states.
