2027: KWAM 1 seeks Hamzat’s support for daughter’s Lagos Assembly ambition

A video circulating on social media shows fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, known as KWAM 1, introducing his daughter Damilola to Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate Obafemi Hamzat. Telling Hamzat, “I hand her over to you,” the musician appeared to offer light-hearted support for her political ambition. Damilola, a lawyer and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, is seeking the Surulere Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2027 elections. She announced her bid on March 17, 2026, saying her 12 years of legal practice had prepared her to serve the constituency.

Trump signs order launching women’s health division at NIH

Donald Trump signed an executive order in Washington on Monday to establish a women’s health division at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a White House task force on the issue.
