2027: Makinde defends choice of successor, says party colour doesn’t matter

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State stated that his priority is to choose a capable candidate to succeed him. At the International Tourism Summit in Ibadan, he emphasized that party affiliation does not matter in selecting his preferred successor, Abimbola Adekanmbi. Makinde also assured that the outcomes of the 2027 elections would not be determined by 'federal might', but by the votes of the electorate.
