2027: NDC candidate alleges plot to keep party off ballot in Lagos

Adefolaseye Adebayo, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Surulere I federal constituency in Lagos and South-West coordinator of the OK Movement, says people are planning to keep her party off the ballot in the 2027 general elections. In a video posted on her official X account on Saturday, she urged the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take note. Adebayo alleges that the ruling APC is behind the plan and says a similar incident kept the Labour Party off the Surulere I ballot in 2023, allegedly with the involvement of its candidate at the time.
