2027: No amount of solo effort will make someone from Southeast become president - Anyim

Former Nigerian Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim stated that no candidate from the Southeast can become president without an alliance with other regions. He left the Peoples Democratic Party to join the All Progressives Congress, supporting President Bola Tinubu's re-election. Anyim believes the Southeast should wait 12 years for the zoning arrangement to return to the South after the current president's term.
