2027: North solidly behind you, Yari tells Tinubu

Senator Abdul'aziz Yari, director-general of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, assured Bola Tinubu that Northern political leaders, traditional rulers and Islamic clerics support his 2027 re-election bid. Speaking at the APC campaign launch in Kaduna, attended by Tinubu and Northern governors, Yari cited continuity and peace as reasons for backing the president and said the region would demonstrate its support on January 16, 2027. He praised Tinubu’s reforms, including the removal of the petrol subsidy and exchange-rate changes, and urged the president to listen to Northern Nigeria’s concerns and ensure justice.
