2027: Opposition unity still possible despite Atiku, Obi absence — NDC

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that opposition parties can still unite ahead of the 2027 general elections despite the absence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi from the National Opposition Summit. NDC chieftain Ladipo Johnson emphasized that their absence should not be seen as a lack of interest in the proposed alliance. He also stressed the importance of collaboration among parties to provide a credible alternative to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
