2027: Sokoto ADC loses two chieftains to APC - Daily Post Nigeria

Two traditional chiefs of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State, Abubakar Attajiri and Aminu Gidan-Kanawa, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with their supporters. Their decision was motivated by the achievements of Governor Ahmed Aliyu and former governor and senator Aliyu Wamakko. They were received at the APC state secretariat by party chairman Haruna Adiya, who assured them of equal treatment and pledged to mobilize support for the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
