2027: Sowore promises 24-hour electricity within three years

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has promised to deliver uninterrupted electricity across Nigeria within three years if elected in the 2027 general election. He proposed dismantling the national electricity grid and replacing it with regional grids powered by a mix of solar, gas, hydro, and biogas. Sowore emphasized that decentralizing the electricity system would allow regions to generate and distribute power based on their resources.
