2027: The odds favour Obi, Kwankwaso as NDC zones presidency to South, VP to North

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to Southern Nigeria for a single four-year term, with the vice presidential slot going to the North. This decision, made at the party's maiden National Convention in Abuja, allows Southern candidates, including former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, to run. After this term, the presidential ticket will automatically return to the North in 2031.
