2027: Tinubu leads Atiku, Obi in early forecast — PIG

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 presidential election, the Political Intelligence Group (PIG) forecasts that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would win 20 states, while former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party candidate Peter Obi are projected to secure nine and eight states, respectively, along with the Federal Capital Territory. The forecast highlights Tinubu's strength in the South-West, where he is expected to win all six states, as well as in key states like Kano. However, PIG cautions that this assessment is a snapshot of the current political landscape and may change before the election.
