2027: ‘Tinubu should step down for Obi,’ Igbo Group tells campaigners

The Igbo Heroes and Icons Foundation (IHIF) rejected the Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) group's attempts to persuade Peter Obi to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race. IHIF's National Coordinator, Chinedu Nsofor, urged RHGN to support the Igbo presidency project and call on Tinubu to step down for Obi, arguing that such a move would promote equity and justice. Nsofor emphasized that the Igbo deserve an opportunity to produce the president after significant sacrifices for Nigeria's unity.
