2027: Yahaya Bello urges Kano non-indigenous residents to mobilise 2 million votes for Tinubu

Former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello said the nearly 500,000 votes Bola Tinubu received in Kano in 2023 were inadequate and urged Yoruba and other non-indigenous communities to deliver more votes in 2027. Lawmaker Leke Abejide called on them to mobilise at least two million votes for Tinubu and APC candidates, and Bello said he was confident Abejide could meet that target. Bello also backed Tinubu’s re-election in the name of political stability and cited work on the Kano-Abuja Federal Highway. Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf pledged to protect non-indigenous communities’ rights and security and said his administration had made appointments representing several ethnic groups.
