21-year-old butcher arrested after colleague is stabbed to death in Ogun State

Ogun State police have arrested 21-year-old Selim Ayodele over the alleged stabbing death of his 26-year-old colleague, Ibrahim Wasiu, in Alagbole. Preliminary investigations indicate that the two butchers argued on October 18, 2026, after work over who should sweep the floor. Ayodele allegedly stabbed Wasiu in the left side of his chest, and Wasiu was pronounced dead on arrival at Life Hospital. The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue ahead of prosecution.
