22 dead, provisional toll after a fire during a wedding in Kinshasa

A fire during a wedding ceremony in Kinshasa resulted in at least 22 deaths and several injuries. The incident occurred in a party hall in the Lingwala commune, where evacuation was complicated by a single exit door. Mayor Norbert Mutshiga Zihindula announced that an investigation would be conducted to determine the circumstances of the fire. Vice-Prime Minister Jacquemain Shabani and Kinshasa's Deputy Governor Eddy Iyeli Molangi visited the site.
