ADP suspends National Chairman Yabagi Sani over alleged forgery

The National Working Committee of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) suspended its National Chairman, Yabagi Yusuf Sani, over alleged forgery, unauthorised interference with the INEC candidate nomination portal and anti-party activities. The party also accused him of failing to account for revenue from nomination forms and said he voiced support for Atiku Abubakar on television on August 30, 2026. Pending an investigation and review by the National Executive Committee, Sani is barred from performing his duties or representing the party, and all communications with INEC must go through the National Secretary’s office. The ADP ordered an immediate audit of its accounts and referred to its October 19 complaint to INEC about suspected irregularities in gubernatorial candidate uploads for Ogun, Enugu and Niger states.
