Davidovich Fokina stuns top seed Zverev to reach Shanghai Masters final

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina defeated top seed Alexander Zverev 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday to reach the Shanghai Masters final. The 25th seed hit 36 winners and earned only his second win over Zverev in eight meetings. He will play the second ATP Masters 1000 final of his career, following his runner-up finish in Monte Carlo in 2022, against either Daniil Medvedev or Rafael Jodar. Zverev said fatigue had caught up with him and that he would monitor his fitness before the Vienna tournament, which begins on October 24.
