Two million vulnerable Nigerian women, including widows and victims of violence, will participate in an ownership program for Aliko Dangote's refinery, announced at the UN General Assembly in New York. The Dangote Foundation will work with local governments to enable these women to buy shares, with additional long-term savings benefits. The IPO, called the 'People’s IPO', aims to raise up to $2.1 billion, following a prior private placement valuing the refinery at $40 billion.
