Legislative and Municipal Elections 2027: Léon Theiller Onana Wants to Turn the Double Ballot into a Referendum Against the RDPC

Léon Theiller Onana, president of the OMP and former member of the RDPC, stated that the upcoming 2027 elections will not be just local elections but a referendum for or against the RDPC. He aims for the double ballot to assess the performance of current officials, especially long-standing mayors from the regime, amid widespread dissatisfaction over unmet promises, corruption, health system failures, insecurity, and youth unemployment. The OMP urges voters to evaluate the records of elected officials and to express their choice clearly in the polls, amid a climate of national disillusionment.
