Land Days in Africa 2026: The Private Sector Called to Engage in Land Transformation

During the Land Days in Africa (JFA 2026), Sékou Diallo, CEO of CGEDS Afrik Geodata, emphasized that the Ivorian private sector must play a key role in modernizing the national land system. He highlighted the importance of leveraging local expertise, building trust in Ivorian companies, and mobilizing private investments to improve land management, security, and transparency. Diallo also stressed that a partnership between the government and private sector is crucial to accelerate land reform, enhance data reliability, and create a favorable environment for investments. Land security and transaction transparency are major economic issues to attract investors and support economic development in Côte d’Ivoire.
