NCA Orders Contractors to Trace and Surrender Unclaimed Assets

The National Construction Authority (NCA) has directed all registered contractors to identify, report, and surrender unclaimed financial assets as of June 30, 2026, including those that became unclaimed before the 2011 Act. Contractors are required to review their historical financial records, remit the assets to the Unclaimed Assets Trust Fund at the Central Bank of Kenya, and submit owner details via the UFAA website by November 1, 2026. Unclaimed assets include forgotten bank accounts, unpaid wages, dormant SACCO funds, unpaid insurance policies, and unclaimed dividends.
