Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory police arrested Onoja Samuel, a Deputy Superintendent of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), over alleged gunfire at Kubwa Market in Abuja. Security analyst Zagazola Makama said the incident occurred on October 25, 2026, after Samuel reportedly went to the market with a pistol following claims that traders had assaulted his wife. Samuel remains in custody and is expected to be charged after investigations, while FCT Police Commissioner Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi urged security agencies to coordinate with local police before operations.
