UK Budget: £100 energy bill help and tax rises

UK Chancellor Healey has announced £100 of energy bill support for millions of people, saying he wants to give those under cost-of-living pressure some breathing space. The budget also raises taxes on banks and some savers. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says the UK is “drowning in an out-of-control welfare system”.
