Daloa: Regional Commerce Directorate mobilized to enforce 2,500 CFA franc cut on fish

Authorities and sector representatives met in Daloa on October 23, 2026, under the prefect of Haut-Sassandra to prepare enforcement of the government’s 2,500 CFA franc cut on cartons of frozen horse mackerel and mackerel. Inspections will be stepped up at cold-storage facilities and markets, while operators must issue invoices and retailers must request receipts. Unjustified price increases and other violations may lead to administrative sanctions, and a sector audit commission will review margins and propose agreed prices for other fish varieties.
