50 elderly villagers kidnapped during reconciliation mission to bandits

Fifty elderly residents of Magamin Diddi village in Zamfara State were kidnapped by bandit kingpin Jammo after undertaking a peace mission. Local government chairman Bello Dosara confirmed the incident, noting it was unauthorized by the government. Eleven hostages have been released, while 39 remain captive. Councillor Bello Husseini revealed that the bandits are demanding N24 million for seized rifles.
