Fasoranti was a true custodian of Awoism, not a slogan chaser — Yoruba group

The Conscience of Yoruba Nation Group mourned the death of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the Afenifere leader, describing him as a faithful custodian of Obafemi Awolowo’s ideals. Convener Abagun Kole Omololu cited Fasoranti’s work as an educationist, his service as finance commissioner in the old Ondo State under Michael Adekunle Ajasin, and his decades of involvement in Afenifere. Omololu said Fasoranti stood for Awoism rooted in education, social justice, accountable leadership, genuine federalism and citizens’ welfare. The group called for his principles to be upheld and his political legacy to prompt reflection.
