Akwa Ibom: Two rescued in speedboat mishap along Ibaka waterways

Two passengers were rescued by marine officers of the Akwa Ibom State police command after a boat mishap on September 17, 2026. The blue W23 speedboat, inscribed with 'LET'S PRAY,' capsized due to waves generated by a passing boat while the driver, Mr. Daniel, was attempting to adjust the seacock. The driver and his conductor, Mr. Kani, were rescued through the swift intervention of the Marine Police Operational and Surveillance Patrol Team.
